Pull Rate
A pull rate is the estimated probability of opening a specific card or rarity tier from a booster pack, usually expressed as odds like "1 in 200 packs."
Pull rates describe how often a given rarity appears when opening packs — for example, a Special Illustration Rare might average one per two or three booster boxes. The Pokémon Company does not publish official odds for most products, so community pull-rate data comes from large-scale opening surveys and is always an estimate.
Pull rates explain the price structure of a set: the harder a card is to pull, the more its singles cost, and sets with generous rates tend to have cheaper chase cards. They also answer the eternal question of whether to open packs or buy singles — for a specific card, buying the single is almost always cheaper. Want to feel the odds yourself?
