Booster Box

A booster box is a factory-sealed display of 36 booster packs — the standard bulk way to open a set and usually the cheapest price per pack.

A booster box is the retail display case a set ships in: 36 sealed booster packs for English sets (Japanese boxes typically hold 30 smaller packs). Buying by the box is the classic way to open a lot of a set at once, and per-pack it usually beats buying packs individually — check current numbers with our price-per-pack tool.

Boxes matter to collectors in two ways: as the bulk-opening option with roughly predictable hits per box, and as sealed product kept unopened for the long term. One caution: loose boxes can be resealed by scammers, so for pricier vintage boxes, buy from reputable sellers and look for factory shrink-wrap patterns.
