Sealed Product

Sealed product covers everything still in its factory wrap: booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, bundles, tins, and individual packs. Collectors keep product sealed for two reasons — to preserve a set's packaging and artwork as a collectible object, and because unopened items from out-of-print sets grow scarcer every time someone opens one.

Condition standards apply to boxes too: crushed corners, torn shrink-wrap, and sun-faded packaging all lower what a sealed item is worth. The biggest practical risk is resealing — dishonest sellers rewrap opened boxes — so for vintage sealed items, provenance and reputable sellers matter more than almost anything else. Weigh the fun of opening against keeping the box intact; you can only choose once.
