BGS (Beckett Grading Services) is a grading company known for its four subgrades and the coveted "Black Label" 10 awarded for perfect scores across all categories.
BGS grades cards on the familiar 1–10 scale but adds something PSA does not: four subgrades for centering, corners, edges, and surface, printed right on the label. The overall grade is derived from these, so buyers can see exactly where a card fell short.
Beckett's signature is the Black Label — a Pristine 10 with perfect 10s in all four subgrades — widely considered the hardest standard grade to earn in the hobby, and priced accordingly.
