PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) is the most popular card grading company, scoring cards from 1 to 10, with PSA 10 "Gem Mint" as its top grade.
PSA is the largest and best-known grading company in the hobby. Cards are authenticated, scored on a 1–10 scale, and sealed in a tamper-evident case with a red-and-white label. A PSA 10 Gem Mint is the standard the market prices around: for most Pokémon cards, the PSA 10 population sells at a clear premium over a PSA 9.
PSA's dominance means its slabs are usually the easiest to sell and compare, since population data and sale histories are deepest for PSA-graded cards.
