Double Rare
A Double Rare (RR) is the Scarlet & Violet rarity for regular ex Pokémon, marked with two black stars in the bottom corner.
Double Rare is the entry-level "hit" rarity of the Scarlet & Violet era, identified by two black stars. It covers the standard, framed versions of Pokémon ex — the powered-up mechanic cards of the current series.
Double Rares appear multiple times per booster box, so they are the most common foil hits you will pull, and most carry low prices. Their real importance is for players: the RR version is the cheapest way to get a tournament-playable copy of an ex Pokémon whose fancier Ultra Rare and Special Illustration Rare versions cost far more. Competitive players routinely buy Double Rares as singles rather than chasing them in packs.
