Unlimited

Unlimited refers to the later, larger print runs of vintage sets, printed without the 1st Edition stamp and therefore far more common.

Unlimited is the name for the open-ended print runs that followed a set's 1st Edition run in the Wizards of the Coast era. These cards carry no edition stamp, and for Base Set they also gained the drop shadow beside the artwork frame that shadowless cards lack.

Unlimited cards were printed in much larger quantities, so they are the most affordable way to own vintage classics — an Unlimited Base Set Charizard costs a fraction of its 1st Edition counterpart. For collectors on a budget, Unlimited copies deliver the same artwork and nostalgia. When reading listings, "Unlimited" simply means "no stamp"; it is the default version of most vintage cards you will encounter.
